Depression, anger, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. These feelings can manifest as irritability, sleep disorders, or isolation from loved ones. Through counseling and therapeutic treatment, you become more able to recover motivation, perspective, and the joy you once had in your life.
Children and teens can struggle with symptoms that interfere with their lives and can cause conflict with parents, teachers, and peers. Many kids have concerning issues associated with social, emotional, and behavioral experiences. Your child may be impulsive or acting out, disobedient, breaking rules, or getting into trouble. Maybe your child is struggling to focus on tasks, is moody or sad, has eating or sleeping issues. Therapy can help your child develop the skills to make them more successful and give you the tools to support and motivate them.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Problems in relationships, lack of confidence, physical pain or disorders are some trauma responses you or a loved one may be experiencing. Therapy can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Child and adolescent therapy creates a safe space for youth to grow and learn in a variety of ways. Therapy can assist both children and teens in acquiring new skills to improve development, manage life stressors, and increase their ability to express emotions and needs appropriately. It is also a space to resolve conflicts, understand feelings, and learn to problem solve.

In individual therapy sessions, I work with you one-on-one in a supportive environment that aims to facilitate change and improve your quality of life. We will begin by setting personal goals for yourself and identify steps toward achievement. Each individual session will differ according to what you bring in that day to address. We may explore past events that impact you and your current relationships or we may focus on learning new skills to give you freedom from distress,
Stressful events and life transitions can affect and strain family relationships. Family therapy brings parents, siblings, caregivers, and extended family members into the treatment process. During family sessions, you and your family can explore family roles and patterns of behavior in order to gain a deeper understanding of how to create the change you seek and gain skills to deepen family connections.
